I have been driving the Maruti Jimny Alpha 4x4 MT in Jungle Green for the past six months. I was looking for a compact and rugged SUV that could handle both city and off-road driving, and the Jimny caught my eye with its retro design and impressive features. The car has a 4x4 system with low-range transfer case and locking differential. It is excellent for off-roading, as it can handle any terrain and obstacle with ease. It has a good approach, departure, and breakover angles, and a decent water wading depth. It also has hill hold and hill descent control features for added safety and stability. The car has disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. It has ABS, EBD, and brake assist features for better braking performance and safety. However, the brakes feel spongy and lack bite, and the stopping distance is long. The car has a claimed fuel efficiency of 15.5 kmpl for the manual and 14.5 kmpl for the automatic.
