I have been a Mahindra Scorpio enthusiast for a decade now and upgraded to the 2015 model after selling my previous generation Scorpio. Starting with the things I love about the car, the entire exterior is appealing. From the LED headlamps to the aggressive grill, bonnet scoop, and backlights, it exudes strength and is a complete package when viewed from the outside. The driving experience is smooth, thanks to the well-executed gear shifts, unlike other SUVs in higher segments. Additionally, it offers great value as the most affordable 7-seater with features like a reverse camera, navigation, and cruise control. However, after driving it for more than 200,000 km, I noticed some downsides. The car lacks stability on rough patches of roads and experiences body roll when traveling uphill. The upholstery also requires a major upgrade to match the appealing exterior. Despite these shortcomings, the Scorpio has been a reliable partner on all my journeys. The captain seats have allowed me to cover long distances without worries. The mileage is reasonable, averaging around 13 km/l in the city and 16 km/l on the highway, considering its size. The 2500 cc MHAWK engine provides ample pickup, making it easy to drive. The after-sales service is also satisfactory and won't burn a hole in your pocket.
