It's just been a few days that I have got this car and here is my first impression. I have bought the 1.3 Zeta S Cross. I had initially gone to Nexa to buy a Baleno, while waiting at the showroom for the test drive, I happened to see the S Cross, opened the door and took a seat. I was very impressed by the interior of the car. It just did not seem like a Maruti. The attention to detail is worth the praise. The car exterior is not as impressive as the interior. The other reviews that I have read, most of them complain of the Alloy wheels not being great and which was a fact, but Maruti have worked on that as well and have updated to a Gun-metal alloy which looks much better than the older ones. Also, a small point that I was unhappy with is the limited color options in the car. These days, you see cars come out with unique and vibrant colors but Maruti has stuck with the tried and tested ones. Hope they do add more colors in the future. The interior of the car, as mentioned earlier gives it a very premium feel. The upholstery is also of a good quality and the Black/Grey combination works well with the car. In terms of the features in the car, the touch screen in the Zeta variant is quite nice and responsive. Have not tried the GPS navigation yet and do not know how accurate that is. The voice command function is also quite useful if you, like me, are on the phone quite often, no need to divert attention from the road to look for contacts, just say the command and it dials the number quite easily. The 7 inch touchscreen also converts to a rear view camera screen and it's quite a useful feature. The air-conditioning I find it not as powerful as I would have liked. For Chennai heat, I would require a much more powerful aircon. There is enough space on the dash and gear console to keep handy things. The drive is a real joy, the car handles beautifully and even with the 1.3 engine, the pickup is quite good. You can feel the power once you cross 1700-2000 rpm. Have not driven enough to comment on the mileage of the car but the display does show average mileage of 10.5KMPL which is quite low when the company states 23. Overall in the 3 days that I have driven the car, I am quite happy and glad that I went for the S cross instead of the Baleno.

Good parts and spare availability. Good car for a small family. Covers all essential and luxury features. Overall, it, a perfect compact SUV in a good price range.

Maruti s cross is a faulty car its rear suspension brakes and infotainment system are giving daily problem and rear bumper body line is upset.
