Indigo eCS Emax CNG GLS നിരൂപണം

Tata Motors, the Indian automobile company has expanded its CNG range models in the country. The company has rolled out the Tata Indigo Emax CNG version in the Indian automobile market in two variants. Out of those two variants, the Tata Indigo CS Emax CNG GLS is the base level variant and it is fitted with a 1.2-litre, SOHC based petrol power plant, which is claimed to be the most fuel efficient in its class. This engine comes wit bi-fuel petrol and CNG options, which enables it to produce the segment's best in class mileage figure of about 24.6 Km/Kg, which is unbelievable. This will also contribute for the low carbon emission and improved engine performance. As far as the styling and appearance is concerned, this new base trim comes with the same body design and exterior features like the other existing variants. Inside this Tata Indigo CS Emax CNG GLS variant, the environment comes in dual tone color scheme, where the seats are covered with partial fabric line upholstery. This new Tata Indigo emax trim comes with an extremely quite cabin because of the all new NVH package, which will reduce the external noise. This new trim with affordable pricing has been argeted towards the individuals and budget car buyers, who look for affordable mobility solutions.

Exteriors :

In terms of style and appearance, this new Tata Indigo CS Emax CNG GLS trim comes with a very simple body design that makes it look contemporary. The company hasn't made any changes to the exteriors of this compact sedan back model. On its front profile, this compact sedan comes with a smoked design headlight cluster that is incorporated with a powerful halogen headlights. In the center there is a diamond chrome grille that is decorated with a stylish company logo in the middle. On the bottom of the front profile, the bumper has been painted in body color and has been incorporated with a wide air dam. This bumper comes with a dual tone look that will enhance the overall appeal of the front profile. Coming to the side profile, the door handles and the ORVMs along with the window sills have been painted in black color. The wheel arches of this base version have been fitted with 14 inch steel wheels that are further fitted with wheel covers. Coming to the interiors, this new Tata Indigo CS Emax CNG GLS trim comes with a dual tone environment that adds to the excitement of the occupants inside. This vehicle comes with an anti-acoustic chamber that reduces the external noise and keeps the interiors calm and pleasant. The seats are wide and luxurious and they are further covered with partial fabric upholstery. The interior cabin of this vehicle is complimented by the theater dimming interior lights. The dashboard looks very simple, but the premium finish on the central console gives it a stylish appeal. There is a new 4-spoke steering wheel that is decorated with a chrome plated company logo. Engine and Performance :

The newly introduced Tata Indigo CS Emax CNG GLS trim is powered by a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, 8-valve petrol power mill that produces 1193cc of displacement capacity. This engine is based on a SOHC valve configuration and produces the power with the help of MPFI fuel supply system. In the petrol mode, this engine produces a maximum power output of about 68bhp at 5000rpm, while generating a maximum 135Nm of peak torque at 2500rpm. When switched to the CNG mode, it produces 65bhp of peak power output and yields a commanding torque output. This engine has been coupled with a high performance 5-speed manual gearbox that enhances the smoothness of the engine and distributes the power to the front wheels.

Braking and Handling :

The Indian automobile company has blessed this compact sedan with top rated braking and handling aspects that helps the driver to gain full control over the vehicle. The company blessed this particular model with a vacuum assisted, independent dual circuit, diagonal split hydraulic brakes that powers the disc and drum brakes to function in the most efficient way. The front wheels of this compact sedan has been fitted with ventilated discs, while the rear wheels are assembled with drum brakes. On the other hand, its advanced suspension system will further enhance the stability and agility of the vehicle. The front axle of this four wheeler has been fitted with Independent, McPherson Strut type of suspension accompanied with coil springs while the rear axle is assembled with Independent, 3-Link McPherson strut system loaded with anti-roll bars .

Comfort Features :

The new Tata Indigo CS Emax CNG GLS trim is the base level variant in the model series but still it is offered with decent set of comfort features inside. The company has given utmost importance to the comforts and conveniences of the passengers by installing basic set of features. Some of those features include an air conditioning system, a high responsive power steering system , front power windows, adjustable front headrest, boot lamp, FR and RR cabin lights with 2-spot lights, bottle holders on front doors and a remote boot and fuel lid opener. These basic features will take care of the minimum needs of the occupants and gives then a comfortable driving experience.

Safety Features :

Coming to the safety aspects, this base compact sedan comes fitted with very few protective functions. These safety aspects includes the features such as central locking system, LED high mounted stop lamps, child safety lock on rear doors, collapsible steering system and a few other such significant aspects as well for the protection of the passengers and the vehicle.

Pros : Irresistible price tag, amazing fuel efficiency. 

Cons : Not so attractive appearance, poor safety and comfort features.
