Eagerly Awaiting വേണ്ടി

Since the revelation of Maruti Ertiga in the Auto Expo 2012 I have been waiting for its launch. I live in a joint family and so I was planning to buy a family car for a long time now but I couldn’t decide on which one to buy. The Mahindra Bolero was too sturdy looking, the Xylo is box-shaped and Toyota Innova is just out of my budget, I was looking for something in the Rs. 7- Rs 8 lakh price range and Maruti Ertiga fits in the requirements just too well. I already own Maruti Swift Dzire and 800 and I am very much satisfied with the functioning of Maruti Suzuki cars; they are reliable and superb on-road performers, the Maruti 800 I own is a 2000 model and is still working like a champ. I have searched the online portals for the specifications and I must say that I am pretty impressed by the Maruti Ertiga pictures and reviews. The Ertiga is simple looking just like the other cars from Maruti Suzuki India. It, in fact, looks like an elongated version of Swift hatchback with Maruti Ritz front. The length of the car is only some centimetres over the 4m limit set by the government for the small cars and the height of the car is appropriate for an Indian citizen; it is neither too high like Innova/Bolero nor too low like sedans/hatchbacks. Gladly, the car is too said to have been affixed with ABS. The pictures of the interiors of the car reveal that the car is simple from the inside too but it gets a plush feel with the new beige theme and chic central console which is kind of missing from my Swift Dzire. The three rows of seats seem perfectly comfortable with adequate legroom and headroom. As per the specifications provided on the Internet, I would love to own any of the three diesel variants available as they are equipped with an impressive 1.3-liter turbo diesel engine that drives a peak power of 89 BHP and a peak torque at 20 kgm. The Maruti cars have always proved to be value for money; and as far as I am concerned the cars have always lived up to the expectations. The Maruti name tag and its history of producing exceptional cars are the biggest reason I am looking forward to buying the Maruti Ertiga MPV for my family.
