XUV 5OO W8 FWD Purchase date : 15/11/2011 Km Driven : 29000. Please don't buy this car. From first day I am having problems with my car. I will mention some good things about the car as well. Exterior, interior, seat covers are good. Mileage : 9 Kmpl (in Mumbai city) Mileage on the national highway : 14-15 Kmpl. Seats are very comfortable, my lower back doesn't hurt even on long drives. Problem Areas about my car Listed below. It goes to visit the Doctor a lot. The Mahindra service Center advisors are good, they try to solve the problems in the faulty car with good cooperation. Major Breakdown Problems 1 Clutch got jammed. 2 Power steering got jammed and stranded in the middle of the road. Breakdown vehicle came and towed it away. Someone said it's like purchasing China Made Mobile Phones. Minor Problem List Got the Combination Switch Replaced several times : Problem (signal Indication was not smooth, had to press a little hard to use dipper Light). My Car used to make a whistling noise - Engine Turbo replaced after 4-5 workshop visit. The whistling noise is there even in the Test Drive Vehicles. The Infotainment system is the worst - it functions on its own. This is a quite annoying door open error pops up on the screen. If front tyre pressure is low, it indicates that the rear tyre pressure is low. Drivers door does not close properly. It bounces. It closes after 3-4 attempts. You can't rely on the brakes of the XUV. I have to maintain a good distance at all times. Seat Belts were faulty. Rear suspension makes noise. And much more minor problems. I was proud to buy an Indian company car, but now after this experience with my Mahindra, I will never buy a car from Mahindra.
