So i am reviewing for the petrol variant of the all new Honda Amaze.(1st) the engine,its powered by the 1.2l i-vtec motor.This is an extremely refined motor,there are barely any vibrations or engine noise inside the cabin.Even when you are doing triple digit speeds on highways,the only thing you can hearis the airflow from the vent and a lil wind noise.The performance is good with nice linear acceleration and the engine takes up pace in its own way.Do not expect to win a drag race out of this.(2nd) the steering is extremely light and its a bliss to manoeuvre this car in city traffic.The feel and feedback is pretty good and the steering feels very direct and accurate.(3rd )the interior which is a great change in comparison to the outgoing model.The interior feels roomy,plush and very upmarket.Its a combination of black and beige and is borrowed from the city and the jazz.The AC control is similar to the BRV.Front seats are nice and supportive with height adjustable functions.The rear seats are also great with excellent back rest angle and thigh support.The leg space is very impressive and the headroom is also decent.The car isn't very wide,so 3 people sitting at the back will be a bit of a squeeze.There is no AC vent at rear,but the throw of air from the front ones is enough.There is a central armrest with 2 cupholders to keep you delighted with beverages during those long trips.What i especially like is the interior illumination which is having a white led dials with blue ambient lighting.The audio quality is also good,the bass is not so high,but overall quite satisfactory.(4th) the ride quality- it is pretty smooth,no complains on smooth roads.Most of the bumps and potholes are absorbed well.Its only the sharp crevices which jerks the passengers inside.Brakes are nice and they offer a good bite.Honda cars are very efficient in handling and so is theAmaze,which is supplemented by this nice and direct steering wheel.Gear box is also very crisp.There is almost no body roll.(5th) the boot>>well sedans are expected to bear a functional and spacious boot.The amaze is no exception.Though being a sub 4metre vehicle,it has got 400l of boot space.The opening is nice and wide and it can easily house a golf bag set when horizontally mounted.(6th) Milege>>Expect around 13to 14kmpl in the city and 16 to 18kmpl on the stretches depending on driving conditions.If you are in the market for a sedan thats not too hefty for your pocket,yet nice,simple,modern and very reliable,you should definitely go and check this out.
