Any CVT transmission car will cost more in maintenance and will have lesser life as compared to a manual or AGS / AMT transmission. Depending on the driving habits, the CVT transmission life will be anywhere between 10 years and 15 years. if your driving habit is just average, expect no more than ten years. Ask the salesman what is the life of i20 CVT, and judge by his answer as well, or, better, ask him if you can talk to a technical person in Hyundai (or any other manufacturer selling a CVT transmission car). Aura, on the other hand, has an AGS transmission, much better than CVT. The problem with Aura is that to open the boot, you have to open the door and bend down to pull the boot-open lever. This is the only way one can open Aura's boot, and that too me is good enough a reason to say No to the car. Imagine coming to the car with ten kg of grocery, and not being able to open the boot with a remote, or even a key; you have drop the grocery bags on the street first, open the front door, pull the lever, go to the rear of the car, and then commence loading the grocery. That is bad !For above reasons, neither of the two is a good option.
