I purchased my Ciaz ZXi+ on 31st May 2016. It was a decision that took some thinking coz I was restricted by my budget of around ~10 lakhs. I was considering mostly a mid segment sedan, although I wanted my first car to be equipped with all the features of today. Trust me, Ciaz Zxi+ has all the features any one would look for in their first car + much more. The car is super spacious from the inside, one can easily squeeze 4 adults on the back seat. Plus the boot is superb from a mid - size family travelling between cities. I am also a fan of the ride quality of ciaz, which because of its 16 - inch tyres feels at home even on the jerkiest roads, here in Kanpur.The pick up of the car is superb & feels superb at high speeds. I have tested it upto 140kmph at the Yamuna Expressway en route Delhi. Another big plus in the Ciaz is the superb music system & the touch infotainment. This looks much better than those on the other cars in this segment. The sound of music in the ciaz is also superb, regardless of whether you are listening to Ghazals or Honey singh.While I was looking at its competitors before making the purchase, I saw that CIAZ offered pretty much the same features that other brands were offering for at least for Rs. 2.5 lakh more. Add to that the low - maintenance costs for owning a Maruti & the great after sales/service for your first car and the gap seems much larger.I have also tried out other cars in the segment and trust me Ciaz is the most spacious & comfy. Now a days, when a decent hatchback costs around ~7 - 8 lakhs, putting close to 10L in ciaz seems to me, as the more reasonable choice. I am sure a family of 5 - 6 persons can be much more happily & comfortably placed in Ciaz than any hatchback or even other sedans in the segment. Another rather personal confession is that the CIAZ (especially in black colour) is guaranteed to get you more eyebals than any of its competitors. the gaudy black nose & the wide stance that the Ciaz has due to its width & length gives it a high - class feel. I am sure the ground clearance obviously adds to the zeal.One of the cons however, I feel is still the mileage. It gives upto 13.5km/ltre & has run for a little over 9k kms. Though thats not an impediment at all, because if you are sitting at the back & being driven by a chauffeur you can experience the fun of being in an luxury car almost. Another con if I have to think of is a bit of cabin noise when one is operating at low - gear in city traffic.Finally, for anyone looking for a not - so - modest first car in a modest budget Ciaz should definitely be the best choice.
