I bought this car for my wife who wanted an automatic. Her choice, of course, was Renault Kwid. Well, the salespeople at Renault were keeping us waiting for a week for a test drive. That's when the Datson salesman called. I made it clear that my voice was laid. He insisted on a test drive. He came with the car we had a go. And was hooked. It was the ground clearance which got us hooked. Living in a rural area it was important for us. Redigo could go in unpaved grounds too because of its ride height. Automatic has a creep function where the car would move in slow speed when breaks eased. That's also a nice touch. Then it's chunky aftermarket type tires also helped. It really looked hot. Initially, I had some problem adjusting with the puny engine and the AMT. A week later I am enjoying it. It could go into spaces where bigger cars cannot go in. In heavy traffic, it's a boon. Now wife cannot get enough of it as I am taking it to the office on one pretext or other. Well, it's worth every penny. If you are on a budget and want an automatic it's a definite choice. Well, it has its niggles too. Emits all sorts of creeks from the parts even when a week old. Then the lights and fittings are so films. If you touch it hard you feel as if it will fall off. Overall it's a good package for all on a budget.
