At the outset, I must say that in the initial days after purchasing KWID 0.8L Version (top-end) I was pretty much disappointed with the mileage that it delivered in city roads. On top of that, the sluggishness of its accelerator, the uneasiness of using a stiff break and the disturbing noise from the engine made me sad.I was wondering why I had to go for this model among all other models/brands being there in the market. But; after a full-service done some 6 months ago, the mileage started to pick up though it did not reach to the level what was promised by the company. I slowly started loving the car as the accelerator got much smoother due to change in the out-of-box one (Service fellows gave a modified accelerator), break became softer and noise suddenly reduced a lot (though a 0.8L Engine has its inherent noise which you have to live with any day). Did two big trips recently (to Pondicherry & Multiple times to Mysore from Bangalore) and found to my astonishment that the engine started giving a higher mileage in the range of 15+ in city roads while in Highways it touches 24-25...The engine is now running smoothly, the in-built speaker is boisterously belting songs and overall I am now enjoying the car to the fullest..Worth spending your hard-earned money on this model (you may choose to go for 1L version if you don't want to drive a sub 1L) but give a try on Renault KWID - with its design, looks, features, and mileages - this car is best in its segment.
