A good car with poor transmission

I have a Renault Kwid AMT since 1 year and driven 12K. Its a good car with respect to ground clearance, mileage and value for money. There is a big problem with the automatic transmission. It is sluggish and knocky at low speeds and frustrating when you want to lower the gear to get power for overtakes during high speed.

because of 800cc engine. Every car has same problem even beyond 2000cc engine also because manual transmission has their own pick up strategy and 800cc is not for pickup what do you want in 800cc that it should be like fortuner....
