I saw the new generation BMW X1 at the 2016 Auto Expo and I was quite pleased how grown up it was as compared to its earlier version. The car looked more like an SUV and was aimed at people who are more inclined towards styling. But since it was launched only in diesel version, I was informed that the petrol version will be launched next year. So I waited till it was launched last year in May. The driving of the BMW X1 sDrive20i has been an awesome experience. The car packs 2.0L turbo petrol engine that produces ample 190bhp of power, paired with 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. The car retains the company's driving control modes ECOPRO, Comfort and Sport for the suitable driving pleasure. I particularly liked the servotronic steering assist and dynamic braking/dynamic power split which provides me smooth driving experience on the go. Moreover, the safety cover in the form of 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, dynamic stability and cornering brake control makes it a compelling buy. The new model scores well on practicality, quality, comfort, and appearance, so it is hard to ignore. If you are one of those who want to experience the real joy of driving a luxury vehicle with needed practicality and engaging experience, there is no better choice than BMW X1.
